“Environmentally friendly”, “green”, and sustainable design practices have been evolving since the mid-1960s. But today, through the efforts of the US Green Building Council, energy efficiency, recycled materials, and consumption of resources, are now part of the design and construction culture. Rubeling & Associates has been incorporating sustainable design in each project for twenty years. Now, with our team of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professionals, these projects may be measured and credited.

 |
| Rubeling & Associates designed this 57,175 sf facility for use by all ages in the community. The one-story building features a 30,000 sf gymnasium with two basketball courts, volleyball court, aerobics area, and jogging / walking track, a 12,000 sf, 25 meter pool for instruction classes, and deep section for scuba diving lessons, and a 6,600 sf performing arts auditorium separate from the technology center with twenty computer stations. Design was completed in 2006, but revisited after 100% CDs to include sustainable design elements for LEED silver certification. |
